Google Product

I found that Google Product only include a fraction of my active items I loaded using Bulk Upload Method.

This might be caused by including the 'location' attribute. I removed my location attribute from my bulk upload file and updated the list and most of my items went online again.
Since Google Products think it is local and not available for online orders if you include the 'locations' attribute.

Google Answers retired

Here is what I got from answers.google.com

Google Answers is no longer accepting questions.

We're sorry, but Google Answers has been retired, and is no longer accepting new questions.
Search or browse the existing Google Answers index by using the search box above or the category links below.

SEO back links

One way to improve the Page rank for the site is to increase the back links. Today, I found a good way to do the back links is through Yahoo Answers. I haven't check with Google Answers yet. I assume you can do the same there.

First, I searched open questions in topics related to headlights. Then, you can provide some value answers with your site as a resource.

Paypal Express Checkout

Yahoo store owners can now integrate PayPal Express Checkout to their site. Your customer don't necessary to have a PayPal account. You can start accepting Credit Cards using PayPal. It works much smoother then before. If your don't like the customers know that you are using PayPal, you can hide PayPal context like my auto lights store.

Yahoo SiteMap

Today, I added generated Yahoo Sitemap and submitted to Yahoo Site Explorer.
I used AuditmyPC.com sitemap tool to generate the sitemap.

SEO and Page Rank

The aftermarket auto lights site is up and here comes the hard part: how to attract users to our site? In order to be listed on the top pages on Google, we need to come out of good keywords and Google friendly practices. We used a site to evaluate out SEO setting. I am still not sure what to do to improve the page rank other then beg for links from other sites.

First Order

We have our first order the next day after we added our auto lights items to Google products. It is really an exciting news for us. It helped us speedup the process to setup accounts with the wholesalers.

Reach out to customers

The first problem is how to reach out to the potential customers. The problem is that our newsite didn't have any exposure to the internet yet. After some research, we decided to put it on froogle first. It is now Google Products. There are several ways to list the items on Google Products. You can list one at a time which is too time consuming for us. You can also do a bulk upload using a csv file. However, after going through the creation of our KingSource Yahoo Store. I have been a little bit tired of working on the files. Surprisely, we found that Google provides a Store Connector which can automatically upload items from our Yahoo Store. Thanks to Google. We were able to list our first 400+ items to Google Products with a few mouse clicks.

Adding Items to Sell Online

The first thing is to add items to sell. We decided to sell only aftermarket auto lighting and lamps products, such as aftermarket headlights, tail lights and after market foglights for cars and trucks parts and accessories replacement and performance. After two weeks of hard work (Yeah, work to 2 am every night), we finally have most of the lighting products added.

Start a Yahoo Store

I helped Carol create her online yahoo store migiCute three years ago. After three years of struggling, her sale is picking up sharply for the auto lighting products. She offered us helps in creating our own stores. We decided to go for it. So kingsource.com - a domain I registered at 2004 finally launched.
